Linda Betty Comfort Ahlers, age 63, of Modena, NY, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Kingston Hospital.
The daughter of the late Gerald and the late Elizabeth (Henry) Comfort, she was born on March 31, 1948 in Hancock, NY.
She was an office manager at Dyer Landscaping, Inc., Clintondale, NY. Linda volunteered at Diana's Cat Shelter and was a past member of the Wallkill Hook Ladder and Hose Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are three daughters, Geraldine (Geri) L. Lake of Loch Sheldrake, NY, Gwendolyn (Gwen) A. Ahlers of Modena, NY, Angela B. & James Voulo Jr. of Cairo, NY and one son, Terry &Cathy Ahlers, Jr. of Newburgh, NY, one sister, Patti Jo & Virgil Ronk , Jr. and their son Gerald of Modena, NY and one brother, Thomas Comfort of Modena, NY, grandchildren, Elisabeth Lake of Loch Sheldrake, NY and Robert Ahlers of Newburgh, NY.
Calling hours will be Friday, October 7, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 162 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz, NY. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 8, 2011, at 10:00am at Memorial United Methodist Church, 1928 Route 44/55, Modena, NY 12548, with the Rev. Lynn M. Hazel, officiating.
