She was born on November 7, 1963 in Indianapolis to Donovan and Angelina Hapgood.
She was a graduate of Perry Meridian High School and IUPUI. She worked for many years at Farm Bureau Insurance and later for her family business.
She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church.
Survivors include, her son James Donovan; her husband of 20 years, Steve; her parents, Donovan and Angelina Hapgood; her sister, Katie Nading (Hapgood); her brother, Powers Hapgood; her in-laws, James and Joan Finchum; her aunts, Charlene Fort, Lois Banyas, Sarah Fetters and her devoted cousins Paula Fort, Amy Fort, Dan Monro and Liza Newman.
Mary loved children and will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11 at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, State Road 135 & Olive Branch Road, with visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Glenns Valley. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
