She was born on June 24, 1920, in Schoolfield and was a daughter of William S. and Lelia Gentry Jackson.
Her husband, Jesse C. thomason, preceded her in death.
She is survived by three daughters, Kathy T. Chrisman of Luray, Joyce Call of Greensboro, N. C. and Barbara Blackstone of Collinsville; A son, Howard L. BlackStone Jr. of Axton; a sister, Edith Hatcher of Stoneville, N. C.; a brother, Paul Jackson of Fieldale; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Edward, Charles and William 'Bill' Jackson; and five sisters, Mabel Smith, Lula Turner, Mildred Prater, Florence Campbell and Margaret Fanale.
Burial in Roselawn Cemetery in Martinsville.
