YOUTH LOSES FIGHT

BOISE PATTERSON CONQUERED IN BATTLE WITH TUBERCULOSIS.

BOISE PATTERSON, aged 24, who, with the aid of his devoted mother, MRS. H.M. PATTERSON, 48 Ransom street, had for three years been fighting a losing battle against tuberculosis, died Wednesday at the state tuberculosis sanatorium at Howell, Mich.

For about two and a half years after the disease began its work upon the young man he lived almost continually in a tent in the yard of his parents' residence. During that time she cared for him continually, often visiting him on bitter cold nights to attend to his wants. Her health began to fail, however, and the son was sent to the institution at Howell. The mother was with him for several days before his death.

Funeral services will be in charge of members of Knights of Pythias, No. 2, of which order Mr. Patterson was a member. The body was brought to the city last night and the services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the residence. Rev. J.T. Husted will officiate. The ceremonies will be brief, as was the request of Mr. Patterson.
