Son of the late Charles and Alice (Laudig) Hart. Preceded in death by wife of 55 years, Margaret (Pishewski) Hart in 2009; six sisters: Grace Hart, Neta Anderson, Ada Manbeck, Evelyn Hart, Sadie Webb and Viola Hart; three brothers: Franklin, Charles and Willis Hart.
Army veteran of World War II; stationed in Germany and served under General Patton in Troop A Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron and as a guard during the Nuremburg War Crimes Trials. Also a participant in General Patton's funeral.
Owned and operated his family farm along with his two sons. Former supervisor of Union Township for 30 years.
