The tremendous research accomplished by my cousin, Nancy Bryan Aiken will always be appreciated by the family. My grandfather was so proud of her & the history she has unveiled. Her research far surpasses any I've seen on this family. Thank you so much, Nancy.

Frank Clarence Hines, eldest son of Christian Martin Hines & Nance Ann Stir, born 29 Nov. 1880 in Marion Township, Pike Co., married Ida Mae Blakeman, daughter of Emily/Emma Ruth Blakeman and Frank Bennett, 8 June 1902 in Pike Co.

They were owners of a 158 acre farm in Marion Township, Pike Co., that they purchased from Frank's parents for one dollar. They also purchased land from Ida Mae's grandparent's in Marion Township. Afterwards they purchased a 255 acre farm from John Parrill in Beaver Township. To pay for their new farm they sold the farm in Marion Township to D.S McGuire. They remained on the new farm in Beaver Township until their deaths.

Ida & Frank were parents of ten children in their 14 years of marriage. After Ida Mae's death, 10 Mar 1926 he hired Elizabeth "Lizzy" Boggs as housekeeper to help care for the children and married her about 1931. They had two more sons. My mother always said Lizzy was a kind lady & was good to Frank & Ida's children.

On the morning of 11 May 1957 while riding his tractor, it rolled back onto him, fracturing two ribs that punctured his lungs causing one lung to collapse. He died 12 May 1957 from congestive heart failure induced by the injuries he received in the accident. He's buried next to Ida Mae in Beaver Chapel Cemetery.
