Graveside service for Jackie Arnette, 88, of Decatur was to be Wednesday, June 25 at 3:30 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery No. 1. The burial was to be officiated by Chris Allen.

Arnette died June 23, 2003, in Decatur.

Born May 2, 1915, in Lockney, she married Glen Edward Arnette on Jan. 12, 1932. She was a retired licensed vocational nurse and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She was an active Republican and was an aide to Congressman Joe Barton.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by a son, David A. Arnette of Dallas; a daughter, Anna Lynn Anderson of Decatur; a sister-in-law, Helen Arnette of Decatur; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
