Robert Lee Daggett, Sr 59, of 638 S 27th St, died at his home at 12:47 am Monday. He had been in ill health for the past four years. Mr Daggett was an electrician with Local 668 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He also worked 3 1/2 years for Baugher Refrigeration, 8 1/2 years for Berger Steel Corp, and was a union journeyman electrician through the Fort Wayne local for years. He retired in 1985.
Born in Union City, Indiana on Dec 11, 1930 he came to Lafayette in 1964 from Winchester, Indiana. He married Violet Kerfoot on Jan 27, 1960 in Lafayette. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Stephen Daggett of Winchester, Timothy Daggett of Michigan and George Daggett of Winchester, two daughters, Mrs Jack [Sandy] Cline of Detroit and Mrs James [Diana] Wickens of Winchester; a brother, Glenn Daggett of Winchester; and two sisters, Edna Daggett and Helen Williams, both of Union City.
