Mrs. Herman Sonnenburg, 82, of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, died Saturday morning at the home of a son in the Town of Newton after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Town of Newton, with the Rev. A. T. Degner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The former Augusta Hasselo was born Jan. 18, 1875, in Germany, daughter of the late Anton and Christine Seidler Hasselo. She came in the United States with her parents when 15. She was married June 18, 1899. Mr. Sonnenburg died 26 years ago.

Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. George Dummer and Mrs. Ernst Rusch of Manitowoc; three sons, Walter of Manitowoc, Helmuth of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, and Marvin with whom she resided on Rt. 3, Manitowoc; two brothers, Anton of Manitowoc and Paul of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy W??? and Mrs. Emma Luebke of Milwaukee; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at Berge Funeral Home, Valders, after 3 p.m. Monday until 11 a.m. Tuesday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
