CAVEN - On Sept. 15, 1868 Mattie J Caven, Teacher of the Senior Grammar School, Tiffin, Ohio. Miss Caven graduated at Elmira Female College, N. Y., in 1864 She possessed in an eminent degree, those qualifications of mind and heart which titled her for usefulness in the world. All her abilities and acquirements were consecrated to the service of her Savior. She united with the church at the age of fourteen, and ever afterwards adorned her christian profession by a holy walk and upright conversation. Her christian character was most admired by those who knew her best, she had been at Tiffin but one short, week, when the Death Angel took her to dwell with the bright, beings above, where all is peace and love.
