Obituary:
Andrew John Crawford died at 3 o'clock, Friday afternoon, Nov. 22, at the home of Mrs. Lucy Buell. Funeral services were held at the Wood Funeral Chapel at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, by the Rev. Samuel Holiday, rector of Zion Episcopal church. Burial was in Riverview cemetery, Harpursville. An earlier resident of Harpursville where he was at one time engaged in carrying the mail between Binghamton, Hapursville and Windsor, Mr. Crawford had, for the more than 50 succeeding years, made his home in Windsor. At one time in his business career, he was in partnership with the late H. D. Montgomery in operating the old National Hotel in Windsor, then located on the present site of the Windsor Inn. Following sale of the property, Mr. Crawford conducted a livery stable with barns for horses and carriages located in the rear of the Bell block. He was never married and in late years made his home at the residence of Mrs. Lucy Buell on Main street. At the time of his death, Mr. Crawford had no known living relatives with the possible exception of a cousin (The Windsor Standard, Windsor, New York, Thursday, November 28, 1935).
