Mt. Pleasant - Saturday evening Mr. Asa Andrews, a pioneer of Henry County and a veteran of the Civil War, passed away at his home on S. Main street. Two weeks ago he sustained a stroke of paralysis. He has been in poor health for years caused by a gun shot wound received while in the service of his country. Funeral services were held today at the home. Rev. C.M. Rauch and the local G.A.R. were in charge. The remains were taken to New London for interment.
