Whittaker, 64, died March 2, 1993 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was employed by John Meyer Telephone Construction Co. for 30 years and was also self-employed in telephone construction. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners Club and lived in the Trumann and Payneway area from 1949 to 1957.
He was born Nov. 30, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ruben and Lucy Reynolds Whittaker.
He and Evelyn June Thomas were married in October 1990, in Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn June 'Thomas' Whittaker on December 11, 1965; and his son, Timothy Whittaker *(Buried in Nettleton Cemetery, Jonesboro, AR) in 1954.
