Marian E. Abloff, 90, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Monday, November 28, 2011. Graveside services will be at 11:00am Tuesday, November 29 at Rose Hill Cemetery, 6900 Troost Avenue. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The Temple, Congregation B'nai Jehudah, American Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice . Mrs. Abloff was born in Kansas City, MO and was a lifelong area resident. She was a lifelong member of The Temple, Congregation B'nai Jehudah and was active in its Sisterhood for many years. Mrs. Abloff attended Kansas City, MO schools, graduating from Southwest High School in 1938, then attended Kansas City University and the University of Oklahoma, Norman. She married Martin Abloff in 1941 and was married to him for 58 years before his death in 1999. Mrs. Abloff loved to play cards with her many friends and enjoyed being a homemaker who also loved to cook for her family. She also had a wonderful sense of humor. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Richard Abloff and Terry Richardson, Kansas City, MO; daughter and son-in-law: Nancy and Miles Cohen, Lauderdale by the Sea, FL; grandchildren: David Kaufman, Kansas City, MO; Dustin Kaufman, Los Angeles, CA; Delores and Richard Soto, Dallas, TX; Daniel A. Rios, Kansas City, MO. Mrs. Abloff will always be remember- ed as a loving wife, mother, grand- mother and mother-in-law.
