George Orbin Hall III, 75, of Murrysville, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011. He was born May 20, 1936, in Murrysville, a son of the late George Orbin Hall II and Minnie Elizabeth Carter Hall. He was a longtime manager of the First National Bank of Export and then the Southwest National Bank of Murrysville. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Murrysville, the Murrysville-Export Rotary Club and he was a Paul Harris Fellow and a member of the Forbes Trail Masonic Lodge No. 783 F&AM. He was an avid hunter and golfer and a loyal patron of Dunkin Donuts in Murrysville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, George Orbin Hall IV, in 2007. George is survived by his wife, Ethel Malson Hall; two daughters, Pamela (Vincent) Hopkins, of Murrysville, and Lt. Col. Grace (Col. Marty) Chapin, in Germany; four grandchildren, Cassidy, Benjamin, Tyler and Faith; a sister-in-law, Linda Hall; a brother, Charles Allan (Mary) Hall, of Murrysville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville. A service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church, Murrysville, with the Rev. J. Langley officiating. Everyone please meet at the church. Interment will follow in the Murrysville Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the Murrysville-Export Rotary Miracle Field.
