Funeral Services for Late John Houston
Funeral services were held Monday at the Sierra Vista cemetery near Marysville for the late John Huston, aged 64 years.
A constant sufferer from a burn received when he was struck by lightning some time ago, Houston ended his life April 30th.
He was employed at the time by W.J. Sanford on the Sperry Ranch at McCourtney Bridge on the Sheridan-Grass Valley Road.
He was born in the Lone Star District but has spent many years mining along Yuba and Bear Rivers. He was a brother of the late Harry Huston and is survived by a daughter, Irene Harris and three sisters, Mrs. Nannie Mitchell of Auburn, Mrs. Mary Bullard of Berkeley and Mrs. Alice Duncan of Oakland.
This article says Sierra Vista but I think they meant Sierra View...
