Mrs. Ferdinand Schroeder, 70, of 1608 21st street, Two Rivers, wife of a former police chief there died this morning at the Two Rivers Municipal hospital.
Born Emma Louise Fraasch in Two Creeks in 1877, she was married to Mr. Schroeder in 1897, following which they located on a farm in Mishicot. They moved to Two Rivers in 1900. Mr. Schroeder joined the police force in 1904, retiring in 1941. He headed the department as chief of police for about 28 years.
Surviving in addition to the husband are three daughters, Mrs. Alphonse Pupeter and Mrs. Joseph Meyer of Two Rivers, and Mrs. Stanley E. Frick of Port Huron, Mich., and three grandchildren, Mary Pupeter, Karl and John Meyer of Two Rivers. Two sisters, Mrs. Henry Lehrmann of Two Creeks and Mrs. Herman Mintner of Milwaukee, also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Beduhn funeral home, Two Rivers with burial in Forest View cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday.
