Thomas is the son of George Washington Skaggs and Milly Price Skaggs. You will find then in the 1850 census for Osage Co., Missouri.
1860 finds this George Washington family back in Larue Co., Ky.

Thomas was married before he married Mary Graham. It was to Malinda J. Torrence. He married 2nd time in LaRue Co., KY 18 Oct 1903. Thomas Skaggs was 61 It says he was the son of George W. Skaggs. He married Mary M. Graham she was 30 year old. It was a second marriage for both. It states she was the daughter of William & Lue Graham.

Malinda J. Torrence, daughter of Albin Torrance, was the first wife of Thomas Skaggs, son of George Washington and Milly Price Skaggs. Apparently Thomas and Malinda Jennie divorced or separated before 1870 because he was in the house with his mother, Millie Skaggs in LaRue County, KY and Jennie and children was in the house of her father. Then listed on the 1880 Casey County, KY census was Malinda Jennie Wilkes, her daughter Rachel, and her son Charles William Skaggs all listed in the house with Thomas Wilkes. Thomas Wilkes, Malinda and Charles William was in Russell County in the early 1890's. By 1900 Thomas Wilkes was gone/death? I don't know but Jennie and Charles William stayed and died in Russell County.
