OBITUARY Iron River Reporter Oct 26 1961 "Mrs. Michalski Dies In Tacoma Rites Monday"
Mrs. Anton (Clara) Michalski, 78, formerly of Iron River, passed away Monday in Tacoma, Wash., where she had resided since 1950. Mrs. Michalski had been in ill health for the past year.
Born May 12, 1883 in Racine, Wis., she came to Iron River as a child in 1885, and had been a resident of this area for more than 50 years.
She attended the Stambaugh public schools, and in 1903 was married to the late Andrew Barlock who preceded her in death in 1939.
In 1950, she married Anton Michalski in Tacoma, Wash., and had resided there since that time.
SURVIVORS LISTED Mrs. Michalski is survived by her husband Anton; one son Everett Barlock of Stambaugh; one daughter Mrs. Donald (Virginia) Lundeen of Lansing; six sisters, Mrs. Winnie Hawley of Nebraska, Mrs. Joe (Flora) Manning of New York City, Mrs. Charles (Annie) Johnson of Milwaukee, Mrs. Vail Brown of California, Mrs. Ruth DelaPointe of Chicago, and Mrs. Walter (Gertrude) Ladwig of Elmhurst, Ill.; and three brothers, Edward Reiman of California, Ernest of Fortune Lake, and Arthur of Sturgis, Mich. Eight grandchildren also survive.
RITES MONDAY The remains are expected to arrive Saturday at the Duvall Funeral home, where friends may call Sunday afternoon at 4.
Funeral services for Mrs. Michalski will be held Monday afternoon at 2 at the First United Presbyterian church in Iron River. The Rev. Mr. Gordon Reif will officiate. Interment will follow in the Iron River cemetery.
The remains will be moved from the Duvall Funeral home to the First Presbyterian church Monday at noon to lie in state until the time of services.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the First United Presbyterian church in Iron River for Mrs. Clara Michalski, 78, a former Iron River resident who passed away Oct. 23 in Tacoma, Wash.
The Rev. Mr. Gordon Reif officiated. Burial followed in the Iron River cemetery.
Pallbearers were Frank Meehan, Guy Williams, Manuel Krans, Larry Hartley, Alex Bain and Arthur Uren.
Miss Rosalie Narva played the prelude and postlude on the organ, and Mrs. Edwin Phelps jr. sang "Abide With Me" and "Nearer My God To Thee."
The Duvall Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
