The obituary of Sarah Ann (Hines) Runion-
From a Loving Granddaughter
Sarah Hines Runion was born 10-1-1828, near Paducah, Ky.,
and died 9-10-1908, at the home of her son near Pittsboro,
Indiana, at the age of 79 years 11 month and 11 days.
When a little girl of eight years, she moved to Hendricks Co.,
with her parents, and has since resided here.
May 30, 1843, she united in marriage to James Runion.
This union was blessed with seven sons and six daughter,
four of whom, two sons, two daughters, with their father,
awaited her on the other side.
She and her husband united with the Regular Baptist Church
at Mt Pleasant, more than a half century ago. After the death of her husband, being more convenient, she moved her membership to Mt Zion.
More than thirty years ago, she was left a widow with a
large family of children and she showed her living Christian
nature, her constant faith in Him, whoever cares for His own.
Everyone speaks of Grandma Runion, as she was lovingly called, as a cheerful friend, a kind neighbor and fond mother.
Those left to mourn her, feel that their sever loss is her gain.
