She was born Dec. 14, 1906 in Falmouth, a daughter of John E. and Sena (Kjar) Lund.
She attended Falmouth Elementary School and graduated from Portland High School. She was also a graduate of Bryant & Stratton Business College.
Ms. Lund was employed as a secretary for several area businesses including M.F. Bragdon Paint Company, Maine National Bank, Hornblower, Weeks-Hemphill & Noyes and Drummond & Drummond, where she worked for 15 years retiring in 1989.
She was a longtime member of the Emmaus Lutheran Church of Falmouth.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 1st at the Emmaus Lutheran Church, 265 Middle Road in Falmouth with Rev. Robert Gustavson officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Falmouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Emmaus Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 265 Middle Road, Falmouth, ME 04105, in Ms. Lund's memory.

In 1937, Helen traveled to Europe to visit England, Holland and Denmark, sharing a cabin on the S.S. Columbus with friends Clara (Rasmussen) Anderson, Frances Knudsen, Alma Timper and Irene (Halberg) Paulson.
