John Wayne Shiffra was born Dec. 15, 1934, in Glen Falls, a son of John Sr and Lena Fincham Shiffra. He married Felicity 'Nan' Been May 22, 1954.
Surviving are three children, Connie Morgan, Pamela (Mike) Harris and Lena (Chad) Williams; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five sisters, Flora (Albert 'Tiny') Humphrey; Mary Savinia, Maxine Allen, Phyllis 'Deenie' (Donald) Caloccia and Linda Crislip; one brother, Everett 'Mickey' (Donna) Shiffra; a close friend, Shirley 'Jean' Lantz and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and one son-in-law, John Morgan.
He was a member of the WV Army National Guard.
Family and friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas Dr./Rt. 98, Clarksburg from 2 - 8p.m. Thursday, where services will held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2011. Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
