STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Mary Pipitone, 77, of Bradenton, Fla., a former Staten Island resident and homemaker, died Friday in Manatee Memorial Hospital, Bradenton.

Born Mary Ventimiglia in Brooklyn, she moved to Midland Beach in 1968 and lived there until 1973. Over the next 18 years, she lived in Mariners Harbor, South Beach and New Springville. She headed South to Sarasota, Fla., in 1991. She relocated to Pennsylvania in 2008 and returned to Florida, to settle in Bradenton, last year.

A homemaker, Mrs. Pipitone enjoyed playing Bingo.

She was a former parishioner of St. Mary's Star of the Sea R.C. Church, Brooklyn, and St. Margaret Mary's R.C. Church in Midland Beach.

Her husband of 49 years, Thomas, died in 2002.

Surviving are three sons, Joseph, Thomas and John Robert; a daughter, Helen Ciraco; a brother, Anthony Ventimiglia; two sisters, Anna Ramos and Geraldine Burke; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church, Brooklyn. Burial will be in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale. Arrangements were handled by the Packer Funeral Home, Sarasota, Fla.
