Belva L. Gunter, 63, a lifetime resident of Estancia, passed away Friday at home in Estancia.

She was born Jan. 3, 1941, in Ewing, N.M., to Willard and Mae (Garrison) Hodgson. She married Bill Gunter on May 3, 1958, in Estancia. Belva L. Gunter will be remembered as a very loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her mother, Mae Hodgson of Estancia; her loving husband of 45 years, Bill Gunter of Estancia; two sons, Tim Gunter and his wife Kathy of Edgewood and Tom Gunter and his wife Cathy of Edgewood; two daughters, Tammy Peretti and her husband Greg of Albuquerque and Tanna Sanders and her husband John of Tucumcari; one sister, Sallie Hodgson of Estancia; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willard Hodgson.

A graveside funeral service was held Saturday at the Estancia Memorial Cemetery with pastor Albert Hagan officiating.
