ATHENS — MURCHISON-Services for Jessie F. Adair, 74, Murchison, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday in Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Danny Bristow officiating.

Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Adair died Nov. 30, 2011 in Athens.

She was born March 25, 1937 in the Rock Hill Community to the late James Franklin and Velma Elma Nowell Craig. Jessie attended Brownsboro Public Schools, and married her high school sweetheart Hollis C. Adair, who preceded her in death Dec. 26, 1984.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Aubrey Craig and sisters Helen Juanita Williamson and Elwanda Craig. She was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church.

Jessie was employed more than 15 years as a seamstress for Vassarette of Munsingwear, Inc., then later worked for Cheerleader/Danz Team.

Survivors include sons Roger Adair and wife Beth, Murchison, Craig Adair and wife Teri, Chandler; daughters Debbie Carter and husband T.C., Murchison, Brenta Houston and husband Michael, Athens, brother Robert Craig, Tyler; sisters Vivian Ramsey, Oklahoma, Betty Thedford, Tyler, special friend Bill Eberhart, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Heath Feagin, Billy Adair, Andrew Adair, Michael Adair, Austin Adair and Lawrence Dunn.

Her grandchildren serving as honorary pallbearers are Ashley Adair, Kelsie Burton, Holli Adair, Abbey Adair and Whitney Houston.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
