A. P. HARMON DEAD
Had Resided in Princeton Thirty-three
Years and Was a Man
Generally Respected.
Burial at Service Conducted Yesterday Oak Knoll
Cemetery by the Masonic Lodge.

Albion K. P. Harmon, an old settler and respected citizen of Princeton, died at his home on Tuesday, November 27, from heart failure super induced by general debility. A widow and one son, Charles, both of whom reside in Princeton, survive him two daughters, Mrs. Alwilda Morehouse and Elizabeth, unmarried, died several years ago.
Mr. Harmon was born in Foxcroft, Maine, on April 17, 1832. He was raised on a farm, and at the age of sixteen was apprenticed to the slater's trade, which occupation he followed for a number of years. In 1859 he went to California, and was engaged in mining and lumbering there and in Nevada until 1862, when he returned to his native state. After farming there for over ten years he came to Princeton in September, 1873, where for a time he followed the occupation of lumbering. He was at one time deputy sheriff of Mille Lacs county and had held several town offices.
Mr. Harmon had been in failing health for several years, and a fall from a housetop sustained by him about twelve months ago tended largely to shorten his days. He was a kindly old gentleman and highly esteemed in the community.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon under the auspices of the local Masonic lodge, of which deceased was a member. The impressive solemn rites of the order were read from the ritual by Dr. Armitage and the remains were interred in Oak Knoll cemetery
