Dannie Lee Burgess passed away peacefully with her beloved husband, Buell by her side on November 29, 2011 at YRMC after a lengthy battle with complications from hip surgery.

Dannie was greeted in heaven by her parents, Esther and Charlie Jones, and her 3 brothers, RB, Marvin, and Ronnie.

The Jones family moved to Yuma where Dannie attended local schools including San Pasqual and Yuma High School. She was a carhop for the Orange Drive In where she met her first husband, Lee Stringer who died in 1960.

She soon met Buell. Mom's and Dad's pastimes included camping, square dancing, Loyal Order of Moose, fund raising for Muscular Dystrophy telethon, CB Clubs, and many types of crafts including rug making, crocheting, and painting. Most of all Mom liked teaching those talents to her children and grandchildren.

Dannie was endorsed as a free lance artist for DeGrazia. Most recently Dannie was a realtor, but also enjoyed her time working at Valley National Bank, and many local restaurants including the Elks Lodge.
