He was a member of the Scottown Methodist Church, Wayne Masonic Lodge # 18, Honorary member of Crown City Lode # 536, Scottist Rite York Rite and Eastern Star. He was a US Navy veteran and was retired from Appalachian Electric Power Company. He was also actively involved in the community youth in various organizations.
He is survived by
his wife of 57 years Glenna L. Berry;
three sons and daughters-in-law Ed and Kelli Berry of Scottown, Dallas and Kyra Berry of Barboursville, and John and Bonnie Berry of Proctorville;
two daughters Catherine Smith of Lavalette and Shirley Kay Berry of Huntington;
12 grandchildren;
8 great grandchildren;
two brothers Glenn and Bobbie Berry both of Lavalette;
two sisters Bernice Robbins of Groveland, FL and Janet Chaffins of Prestonburg, KY.
Funeral service was conducted at Hall Funeral Home by Justin Berry. Burial was in Locust Grove Cemetery, Willow Wood, Ohio, with VFW Post #6868 conducting military graveside rites.
