Funeral for Willis Dean Shelton, 76, of Trinity will be Saturday, December 3, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Bro. Waymond Ashley, Bro. Ron Rickard and Bro. Richard Brown officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Shelton, who died Thursday, December 1, 2011, at his residence, was born November 3, 1935, in Lawrence County to Ollie Elbert and Ethel Mae Shelton. He was a retired salesman. He was a member of Pine Grove Holy Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Shelton; one brother, Hollis Shelton; and one sister, Olene Hitt.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda Shelton; son, Bruce (Charlene) Shelton of Trinity; daughter, Mary Ann Reed (Jerome) of Trinity; sister, Fran White (Wayne) of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Ashley Shelton Souders (Josh), Virginia Ryan Shelton and Grace Ann Reed, all of Trinity; and one great-grandson, Connor Souders.
Pallbearers will be Don Shelton, Danny Shelton, David Hitt, Bryan Gray, Jason Terry and Marvin Waugh.
