Forrest Noel Tinney
Forrest Noel Tinney, 83, of Charleston, W.Va., died Dec. 9, 2003, in Charleston Area Medical Center, Charleston, W.Va., following a short illness.
He was born Feb. 4, 1920.
Mr. Tinney was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Charleston, W.Va., and a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Sutton High School, Sutton, W.Va., was employed by DuPont for 39 years and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Bertha Facemire Tinney; son and his wife, Frederick and Carolyn Tinney; daughter and her husband, Nancy and J.P. Tierney; brother, Keith Tinney of Charleston, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Letitia Tierney, Cyrena Dickerson, Melissa Chambers, Ryan Tierney, Erin Tierney, Kaitlin Tierney and Callie Tierney; and three great-grandchildren, Elana Dickerson, Alyssa Dickerson and William Chambers.
Service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, W.Va., with the Rev. Larry Clifton officiating. Burial will be in Sutton Cemetery, Sutton, W.Va.
Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, is in charge of arrangements.
