A native of Bayou Sorrel and resident of Port Allen, she passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 10:26 a.m. She was 68 years old and a retired employee of Wal-Mart. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home in Port Allen on Thursday, Dec 1, from 5 to 9 p.m. On Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Rev. David Allen. Interment in Grace Memorial Park in Plaquemine. She is survived by her two daughters, Vicki Allen LeBlanc of Baton Rouge and Tonya Allen Genre of Port Allen, a son-in-law, Adrian Raymond Genre of Port Allen; 3 brothers, Shelby, Russell , and Dale Hebert; 4 grandchildren, Chad Anthony LeBlanc Jr. and Cory Patrick LeBlanc of Baton Rouge, Adam Reed Genre and Abigail "Abby" Rae Genre of Port Allen. Rita Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Dale "Poly" Allen; parents, Milford and Ruth Dupre Hebert, and 4 brothers, Joseph, Milford, Patrick and Floyd Hebert.
