Bennie Lou "Blue" Edwards of Ridgecrest, CA and Mesa, AZ passed away on 20 Aug 2010.
Born 5 Apr 1915 in Alabama, she moved to California in 1938 and married in San Francisco, CA in 1939 to Gene Edwards. They had two daughters, Lynn and Michal. They moved to Ridgecrest in 1952, where Bennie worked for 20 years at China Lake Naval Base as a draftsman and secretary. After retirement she spent most of her time doing family genealogy and traveling.
She was active in Eastern Star and worked with rainbow girls for many years. She also worked with CLOTA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene and daughter Lynn.
She is survived by her sister Betty Sheldon; daughter Michal and son-in-law Timothy Krasselt; three granddaughters, Nancy Minnick, Robin Henderson and Kendra Egert; six great-grandchildren, Diana Klinger and Jaclyn Minnick, Courtney and Deanna Henderson, Joshua and Zachary Egert; and one great-great-grandchild, Andrew as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial was held in Mesa, AZ and at Desert Memorial Park in Ridgecrest, CA.
