JACKSON - Mildred E. Adams, 72, of Jackson died Friday, Nov. 10, 1995 at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born May 27, 1923 in Jackson, daughter of Louis and Cora Brugfeld Sebastian. She married Rusby Adams on Oct. 31, 1947.

Adams worked a the former International Shoe Co. in Jackson for 47 years, retiring in 1986. She was a lifelong member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school for a number of years. She was a member of the DAV Auxiliary Chapter 16 in Cape Girardeau, the VFW Auxiliary in Jackson and the American Legion Auxiliary in Jackson.

Survivors are her husband; two sons, Rusby Gene Adams Jr. of Fort Collins, Colo., and Blaine Louis Adams of Jackson; one brother, Vern Sebastian of Jackson; one sister, Virgie Drum of Jackson; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McCombs with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery
