Mrs. Kitrenah Snell, 84, died in the Ionia County Community hospital about 5 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. She had been in the hospital two weeks.

Mrs. Snell, the widow of Watson C. Snell, had been an Ionia resident since 1895.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Bradley funeral home, Rich and Lafayette streets. Rev. Adam Westmaas will conduct the services and burial will be at Highland Park cemetery. Mrs. Snell's body will repose at the Bradley home.

Mr. and Mrs. Snell came to Ionia in 1895 from Albion where they were married in 1885. They built a home, the house now owned by Mrs. John Adgate, 642 West Main street.

Mrs. Snell was born December 9, 1859, in Albion, daughter of Samuel and Isabel Kellogg Bliss. She had resided in Ionia since moving here with her husband.

She was a life member of Eastern Star, the White Shrine and the Rebekahs, a charter member of the White Shrine, past matron of the Eastern Star, and past noble grand of the Rebekahs.

Surviving are two children, Mrs. Maggie Wright of Ionia and Clifford Snell of Petoskey, three grandchildren, Ruth Wright and Jack Wright of Ionia and Dorris LaPeer of Petoskey, and two great-grandchildren.

In charge of floral arrangements were Mrs. Bert Martin, Mrs. James Mackin and Mrs. Louise Black. Pallbearers were Bert Fox, Harry Lyle, James Macklin and Emanuel Rafus.
