Gayle was a teacher for many years at Margate Middle School, Margate, FL and more recently served as a curriculum specialist at Lyons Creek Middle School. Gayle's mother Jane Gayle French was born in Perryville, KY. Jane's father, Arthur B. Coyle and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Walker were prominent citizens of the Harrodsburg/Perryville area.
Robert had his accounting practice R. S. Cox and Company for over 30 years.
Jennifer was the proprietor of the Outback Steakhouse in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from Westminster Academy In 1988 and then Florida Atlantic University before moving to NY in 1999.
On May 4, 2006, Jennifer's husband, Gary Buro joined his beloved wife. Officer Gary Buro was shot and killed when he and another officer responded to a domestic dispute.
As the two officers entered the home the male subject immediately opened fire, killing Officer Buro and wounding his partner. Despite being shot five times, his partner was able to return fire and killed the suspect.
Gary had only served with the Chesterfield County Police Department for 5 months. He had previously served with the New York City Police Department for 6 years, the Lantana, Florida, Police Department for 5 years, and as a military policeman in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years.
