Mary Helen (Bennett) Donelson was born on 25 July 1924 in Springfield, Greene County, Missouri , the first of nine children born to William Thomas and Anna Marie (Jones) Bennett. Since the only name I knew my sister by was "Helen", I'll refer to her by that name for the purpose of this Bio.
Helen married Raymond Eugene Donelson on 22 November 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri and she and Ray were the parents of four daughters, Mary Louise, Margaret Jean, Lois Marie and Joyce Elizabeth, and one son, Raymond Lee (18 April 1951-30 March 2009).
The centerpiece and focal point of Helen's life were her husband and her children. Even when informed that she was gravely ill, her utmost concern was that her children not suffer as a consequence of her passing. Shortly before her death I spoke with Helen and the only assurances she would accept was not for her own, but instead, the continued well being of her children.

She is survived by four daughters and one son.
