Mr. Fontenot died Dec. 1, 2011. He was born Aug. 22, 1955, in Tyler to the late Havely and Mary Lou Fontenot. He served as a Green Beret in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Kristina Waites Fontenot; son, Robert J. Fontenot; daughters, Amy Nicole Turner, Myranda Cannon and Caelley Jae Fontenot; and brothers, Michael Fontenot and Scott Fontenot.
