Born Ida Beilke on Feb. 29, 1871, in Manitowoc county, Mrs. Calkins has been a resident of Antigo since 1890. on April 30, 1891, she married Charles Calkins in Antigo.
Mrs. Calkins was a member of the Methodist church, belonging to WSCS and the Gleaners, organizations of that church. She taught Sunday school for 30 years in the Methodist church. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, who died July 5,1920, one daughter, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o' clock at the McCandless-Zorbel and Bradley funeral home with the Rev. W. W. Holliday officiating. Interment will be in the Antigo cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 o' clock Tuesday afternoon until time of services.
