He had been failing from heart trouble and other complications since an illness from the grip six weeks ago.
He was one of the best known residents of Jenksville, and until he resigned a few days ago, was assessor of the town of Newark Valley. He had lived on the farm where he
died for 34 years.
Burial was at Berkshire.
