GOOSE CREEK, S.C. - Richard Albert Gagne, 66, of 128 N. Knightsbridge Ct, died suddenly at home on May 3, 2011.

He was born Feb. 23, 1945, in Manchester, N.H., to Wilfred and Aurise Gagne.

He was a member of the second graduating class of Memorial High School in 1963. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1963 to 1967 and a member of American Legion Post 166, Goose Creek.

Family includes his wife of 46 years, Phyllis; children Kevin, Carey and Kenyon; brothers Ronald and Robert; sister Janet; mother Aurise; and five beloved grandchildren.

He spent his career in textiles and was much loved in his professional and personal lives. He was truly a friend to all he met. He was most proud to uphold the Marine Corps credo and conducted his life with honor and dignity. He will be missed.
