Mrs. Mary Margaret Abbott passed away Saturday evening, July 17, 1976, at Saginaw Community Hospital after a lingering illness. Age 81 years. Mary Margaret Pytlewski was born Jan. 21, 1895, in Saginaw where she was married to Frank J. Abbott Oct. 14, 1914. She was a member of St Helen's Catholic Church, its Altar Society and the League of Catholic Women. Surviving besides her husband are four daughters and six sons, Mrs. Carl (Margaret) Hardy, Mrs. Herman (Doris) Stuedemann, Mrs. Joan Zingg, all of Saginaw; Mrs. Karl (Mary) Volk, El Paso, TX; Edward J. Abbott, Freeland; Richard T. Abbott, Iron Mountain; Frank P., John W., Anthony E. and Michael G. Abbott, all of Saginaw; twenty-six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will take place 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Deisler Brothers Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter off State, 9:30 a.m. at St. Helen's Catholic Church. Rev. Richard VanMullekom will officiate with burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Hemmeter after 2:00 p.m. Monday where they will meet with relatives at 8:00 p.m. Monday for a Wake Service. The family will be present from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday.
