Of Park Forest for 56 years, died December 2, 2011 at Franciscan Court Assisted Living in West Chicago. A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Chicago Heights, with Rev. Patrick Shebeck officiating. Visitation will be at the church at 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Mrs. Adair was born July 4, 1918 in Chicago. She was raised in Chicago Heights, was a member Pi Omicron Society, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Chicago Heights Swedish Linnea Club, and enjoyed china painting and rug hooking. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Adair; sister, Helen Sedik: parents, Gustaf and Agnes Peterson. She is survived by her two daughters, Kristine (Michael) Carpenter of Fremont, MI, and Susan (Paul) Markowski of Bartlett; and five grandchildren. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association , Greater Illinois Chapter, 8430 W. Bryn Mawr, Ste. 800, Chicago, IL 60631; or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 667 W. 8th St., Chicago Heights, IL 60411.


Entombment will be at Skyline Memorial Park, Monee.
