Charles Ray SWAN, ASN 18004897, E Company 508th PIR, 82nd Airborne Division, KIA 17 June 1944 in Normandy. He was buried in the temporary American cemetery at Blosville in Section C, Row 5, Plot 81, date of burial was 18 June 1944.
After the war, his body was returned to the United States and reburied on November 20, 1948 in the Sunny Lane Cemetary at Del City, Oklahoma Co., OK.
Charles' parents were Ernest Alpheous "E. A." SWAN & Margretta Frances "Maggie" DOWNS.
