John Wesley Galbreath, well known and highly respected pioneer citizen, passed away Monday, July 3rd, 1933, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harris Boyes, in this city, at the age of 81 years, nine months and thirteen days. He was born in Randolph County, Mo., September 20, 1851.

Mr. Galbreath was united in marriage with Maggie K. Stipp on September 30, 1875.
To this union two children were born, Mary Francis, and Lenous Edgar.
The mother departed this life March 31, 1882. On February 21, 1884 Mr. Galbreath married Lighter Ellen Brown, who was a kind and loving mother to the children until her death June 27, 1920.

Mr. Galbreath came to Colorado in 1891 where he resided until his death.
He united with the Baptist church while living in Missouri, but later transferred his
membership to the Christian church of Wray of which he was a consistent member.

He leaves to mourn his passing one brother, T. S. Galbreath of Moberly, Mo., one son, L. E. Galbreath of McCook. Neb., one daughter Mary Boyes, of Wray, one grandson, George Boyes, and one great grandson, George Boyes, Jr., both of Wray.

Following the death of his wife Mr. Galbreath made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harris Boyes, where he was tenderly and lovingly ministered to in his declining years.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 5th, at 2:30 p. m., at the H. C. Boyes residence in west Wray. The services were conducted by Rev. Clark Bower and Rev. B. F. Stallings.

The remains were laid to rest in Grandview cemetery.

The sincere sympathy of many friends is extended the bereaved relatives.
