TURTON - The death of Matilda Turton, 92, of Central Park Lodge, occurred in the city on Sept. 4, 1975. Mrs. Turton was born in Wawanesa on June 13, 1883, and had been a long-time resident of the Wallace district. Surviving are four sons and one daughter: John, Virden; Cliff, Brandon; Lawrence, Rapid City; Wilfred, Emerson, and Mrs. E. A. Dudman (Doris) of Onanole, Man. There are five daughters-in-law and one son-in-law. Mrs. Turton is also survived by 66 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William John, in 1942, two daughters, Gertrude and Hazel; one son, Victor (Bill), and one son-in-law, Arthur Fisher. Funeral service will be held at the Rapid City United Church on Monday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Rapid City cemetery. Rev. Douglas Graves will officiate. Arrangements are with Brockie Donovan.
