Her late husband, Josselyn Van Tyne, was a noted ornithologist.
Mrs. Van Tyne was a resident of Carmel Valley Manor for eight years prior to her death. She left no surviving relatives.
There was no funeral service.
Her cremation took place at the Little Chapel by-the-Sea in Pacific Grove.
