Mrs. Pauline Yon "Polly" Reavis, 80, of 1501 Longbow Drive, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011, at CMC-NorthEast in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
Pallbearers will be David Galyan, Blair Reavis, Brad Reavis, Scott Reavis, Brian Reavis, Eric Reavis and Michael Reavis.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at her residence.
Polly was born June 28, 1931 in Anderson County, SC. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Wyatt Yon and Annie Robinson Yon. She worked for over 50 years for Belk's at Carolina Mall where she was a Supervisor of Sales Auditing and Customer Service. She was a member of Shadybrook Baptist Church and The Gideons International Women's Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David McKenzie Reavis; son, David "Butch" Reavis; two sisters, Marietta Morris and Lula Childers; and four brothers, John "J.P." Yon, Thomas "Frank Yon, Jack Yon, and Tilley Yon.
Polly is survived by four sons, Douglas "Doug" Reavis of Rockwell, Gary Reavis of Kannapolis, Gene Reavis of Concord and Thomas "Tommy" Reavis of Kannapolis; brother, Ira P. Yon of Kannapolis; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
