Their 22-year marriage produced no children of their own but Frances helped raise several of Peter's eleven children. The marriage ended with the death of Peter in March 1901.
According to the Boatman-Bott marriage record in Marriage Book E, on page 269, in Cooper county, Missouri, Frances gave her name on the marriage certificate as "Miss Frankey Ellis Bott" - proof positive that Frances married Mr. Bott before she married Mr. Boatman. No other details are known.

Mrs. P.T. Boatman died Saturday, Apr. 11, at the home of her son, W.S. Ellis. Mrs. Boatman was 79 years old. She is survived by six children as follows: W.S. and John Ellis and Mrs. Jane Sowers of this place; I.S. Ellis of Beaman; Preston Ellis and Mrs. Mollie Dillard of Kansas City. Besides her children she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Jane Reynolds and Mrs. Jack Dillard of Otterville.
It is not known for certain where she is buried but family members believe that she is buried in Irwin Cemetery in Pettis county, Missouri, near her first husband Isaac Spencer Ellis.
