Rick was a lifelong resident of Manchaug,MA. He was a Captain at the Worester County Jail after leaving the Navy where he was a ship's navigator in the Vietnam War. Later in life he owned a small corner store in the village of Manchaug called Crossroads Variety. Although he never had children of his own he took in may foster sons over the years.
