Sybil Virginia "Gin" Pairmore Hill/Turner

This is our Mother, Sybil Virginia Pairmore Hill Turner. Mother always referred to herself as Virginia but many, including our Dad, called her Gin, no idea if it was spelled that way.
Mother had 7 children with her oldest being Betty Jean, then me, Sybil Kay, Thomas Eddie, Jerry Wayne, Samuel Lafayette, Olivia Fay and Rita Ann Hill. Mother had many Gr.children and G.gr.children.
Mother was first married to our Dad, John Thomas Hill, on Nov. 7, 1942 in Marion, Crittenden, AR. Dad died July 1,1978 and Mother married Merline Turner in Dec 1979 in Memphis, TN. Merline and Mother are buried beside each other in this cemetery.
I would say Mother had an interesting but stressful life for she was born in an era of extreme poverty, most lived on small rural farms and eeked out a living thru growing cotton in the South. I do remember Mother talking about going to school and I think she liked it for she would light up when she would talk about her school days.
After Mother and Daddy married he joined the Army and got sent overseas for a year, after he came home he got a job in Memphis and they bought a house and moved us to Memphis.
Mom and Dad worked in the same place for many years, the work they did was hot, tedious and very hard work for a woman. Our Mother had great stamina and courage and did what she had to do so her children could have a better life. We all love and miss you Mom...
